In which we get reintroduced to an old friend

For those of you that may remember Basil I feel duty bound to resume the tale of his life. Although on numerous occasions it has seemed near definite that his demise was inevitable, he lives on to see a another day. He is scarely recognisable to those who might remember his big bushy stems, but he still has new growth appearing, and I feel confident he is not ready to leave us yet. I salute you Basil for your bravery. Long may you continue to be with us.
