P A R T Y

I love those parties when you don't have to stand on ceremony, but are just friends getting together to have fun. If this is your first time here I'm not trying to suggest I don't want you here, what I'm trying to say, although it's not really coming across right, is that I'd love us to be friends and have fun. So stick around, join me for some silly games and fun, and leave me a comment to tell me what you like a party to be like, and I'll see what we can do.

In all the party fever I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Debs, I'm 24 and I live in London, UK. I've been blogging for about a year and a half now, and love reading other people's blogs too (so if you leave me a comment I'll definitely be popping over to say over the next week or two!) I also blog over at One Weigh or Another, so if you want to know more about my and other lovely ladies current weight loss journey you can find us over there.

I work in a primary school as a special needs assistant giving one-to-one support, childmind two days a week, and also do some home tutoring, which all in all means I work with eight different children over the course of a week. That's not including being one the 4-7s children's workers at my church, and all the other babysitting I do. At the moment I'm single and so don't have any children of my own, but love 'borrowing' other people's, and they seem to enjoy it too, which is good! Recently I've been reading more and more blogs written by home schoolers, and I reckon if one day I do have my own children I'll have a hard decision (made with my husband, of course!) whether to send my kids to school or home educate them. However, a few other details need to fall into place before I have to make that decision!

Hmmm, I seem to have turned into one of those people who you get stuck listening to while they rabbit on for ages. I do apologise, I wanted this party to be fun. One thing that can be amusing is when someone has some sort of party trick, at least it can be a good conversation starter. So, what's your party trick?
If you don't have a party trick, what's the best or worst party you've ever been to, and why?

Hi, nice to meet you. Have you lived in London your whole life? I would love to visit there some day. I think it's great that you would like to homeschool if you have kids. Mine are almost ready for school so I'm about to take the plunge. :) I can't say I have any party tricks, though I do play piano and sing. I hope you have a great time. I'm partying at both of my blogs: The Porch Light and Little Fun; Little Learning. Enjoy the party!

Hi, nice to meet you. Party tricks...none that I can think of, but I do like a good party. As for best or worst party? Probably one and the same, my 17th birthday. Best because it was great, good music, lots of friends, fun...worst because the guy I was in love with came but ended up flirting with my friends sister. yeah, it sucked. They ended up dating for a few weeks, but in the end he realized what the rest of us already knew, she was not the one for him. Now I've been married to him for 6 years. Anyway, great blog, I'll be back.

Happy Party. I'm afraid I don't have any party tricks (unless you count unscrewing the lightbulb in the guest bathroom and lighting candles all over, so it's harder to see I forgot to clean it) ;-)

I homeschooled all my kids (they're all grown now) for the first bit, then two of them did public high school. The middle one was homeschooled the whole time.

Looking forward to getting to know you as I come back and visit (I do hope that's okay :-0)

Oh, excuse me. Let me grab a napkin. I've been chowing down on everyone's chips. Yes, I'm a pig. lol

No party tricks here. Unless you count standing in a corner and blowing spit wads from my nose?

Ah, thought not. *grin*

Thanks so much for stopping by my party - I hope you had a great time!

Since we're at the age of people with children, we don't need many party tricks - chasing loose children, breaking up bickering, limiting sugar - it all just kinda does away with the need to think of ways to get people to mingle!

Have a blessed week!

Thank for stopping by my party all the way from London! Let's see, by best/worst party is one in the same. I attended this party with a friend who was trying to get her old boyfriend back who really was interested in me and I kept discouraging him so as not to offend my friend, but realized that "he's just not that into her" and I really like this guy. Soooo.
needless to say, it was the worst because it effected our friendship for many years, and the best because he is my hubby!

Thanks for stopping by my party! You must have ooddles of patience to care for children that are not yours. I must say I admire that quality.

That was an amusing story of the little boy falling down the stairs. I fell once with my little girl in her infant carrier. Luckily, she landed still buckled in but I was all cut up. They do wiggle bunches at that age.

I did enjoy reading your lingo. For me, your writing took some getting used to since I have that southern, drawl from Texas.

Off to party hop some more!

Hello! It's so nice to "meet" you. Your work sounds like it's very rewarding, but I imagine some days might be hard.
Good luck to you in your future! I happen to homeschool, so I think if you think it's right for your future family, then go for it!
